About Comfortho
comfortho.nl is the website of Lotte Meereboer, trading as Comfortho, referred to below as "Comfortho", "we" or "us".
- Address: Teniersstraat 2 HS, 1071 DX Amsterdam
- Email: ortho@comfortho.nl
Comfortho is the brand under which Invisalign treatment is offered. The treatment itself is not carried out by Comfortho but by the affiliated practice where you are seen. That practice is the care provider.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to visiting and using comfortho.nl, including the English pages at comfortho.nl/en. By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
These terms are only about the website. They are not about your treatment.
You cannot buy anything through this website, you do not pay anything here, and no treatment agreement is concluded here. What you will find is information, and a way to get in touch or request an appointment.
Once you are seen at one of the affiliated practices, that practice's own terms apply. Those cover things like costs and payment, moving or cancelling an appointment, your patient record, and how to raise a complaint. The practice is a care provider and its treatment falls under Dutch healthcare law and regulation. So ask the practice for those terms, not us.
Who the website is for
The website is written for anyone looking into straightening their teeth, and for people already in treatment who want to look something up.
Some of the information is about orthodontics for children. Those pages are written for parents and carers. If you are under 18 you are welcome to read the website. Get in touch together with a parent or carer, since you will need one for an appointment anyway.
The information here is general
Everything you read on comfortho.nl is general information. It is not personal medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan and not a prediction of your result. Reading the website or contacting us does not create a treatment relationship.
What is possible in your case, how long it takes and what it costs is something you will hear after a practitioner has examined your teeth.
If you have complaints or you are unsure about something, discuss it with your dentist or with the practice. In an emergency, call your own care provider or the out-of-hours service in your area.
We do our best to keep the information correct and up to date. Even so, something may be incomplete or out of date. Prices, treatment options and working methods change. You cannot derive any rights from the information on this website.
Getting in touch through the website
You can contact us through the contact form, by phone, by email or on WhatsApp.
A request sent through the website is a request for contact or for an appointment. It is not an appointment yet. An appointment is only confirmed once you have heard so from the practice. We cannot promise a response within a set time.
Email and WhatsApp are ordinary messaging services, not secure healthcare channels. Only share what you are comfortable sharing there. If you want to discuss something sensitive, it is better to call or to do it at the practice.
How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
Sending a photo of your teeth
You can send us a photo of your teeth on WhatsApp or by email. What you get back is general information with no strings attached. It is a first impression and an explanation of what a next step could look like.
We do not diagnose at a distance. A photo does not show how your teeth meet, how your bite closes, how your gums are doing or what is going on below the gum line. Anything meaningful about your situation can only be said after a practitioner has examined your teeth at the practice.
So you cannot derive any rights from our reply to a photo. It is not a commitment about treatment, about how long it will take or about what it will cost.
Sending a photo is entirely your choice. What we do with it, how long we keep it and the legal basis we rely on is set out in our privacy policy.
What you may do with the website
You may read the website, print or save pages for your own use, and quote passages as long as you credit the source and link to the page.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- copy, publish or reuse text, photos, video, illustrations or design elements
- read or copy the website or parts of it automatically, for example with scrapers or bots
- put the website or any page in a frame, or present it as if it were your own content
- suggest a partnership or an endorsement that does not exist
- use the website in a way that causes damage, bypasses security or disrupts how it works
Linking to comfortho.nl is always fine, as long as it stays clear that the website is ours.
Intellectual property
The text, photos, illustrations, video, design, logos and structure of the website belong to Lotte Meereboer, or to the party that gave us permission to use them. They are protected by copyright and by other intellectual property rights.
Comfortho is our brand name and our logo is our figurative mark. Brand names belonging to other parties that appear on this website, including Invisalign, remain the property of their respective owners. We use those names to describe the treatment on offer.
If you use our content without permission, we will ask you to stop and to take the material down. If that causes us damage, we can recover it from you and go to court if we need to.
Want to reuse something? Just ask us at ortho@comfortho.nl. We usually work it out.
Links to other websites
The website contains links to websites run by others, and embedded material such as videos, maps or social media posts.
Those websites are not ours. We have not checked them and we are not responsible for their content, what they offer, or how they handle your data. If you follow a link, read their own terms and privacy policy there.
Availability of the website
We cannot promise that the website is always available or free of faults. Maintenance, an outage or a problem at a supplier can take the website offline for a while or make parts of it misbehave.
We may change, move or remove pages and features without announcing it in advance.
Liability
Comfortho is not liable for damage arising from your use of the information on this website or from relying on it. The same applies to damage caused by the website being temporarily unavailable, by errors or omissions in the text, by the content of third party websites, and by viruses or other harmful software that reached you through the website despite our care.
If Comfortho is liable after all, that liability is limited to direct damage. We are not liable for consequential loss, lost income or missed opportunities.
These limitations do not apply where the damage results from intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, and they do not apply in situations where Dutch law sets liability by mandatory rule. If you are a consumer, you always keep the rights the law gives you.
The practice that treats you is responsible and liable for the treatment itself and for the care you receive there.
Your personal data
What data we process, why we process it, how long we keep it and what rights you have is set out in our privacy policy at comfortho.nl/en/privacy-policy/. Cookies are covered there too. We are not repeating it here.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the website changes or when the rules change. The version on the website is the version that applies. The date of the last change is shown at the top.
Dutch law
These terms and the use of this website are governed by Dutch law.
If we cannot resolve a dispute together, it goes to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring the dispute before the court that the law says has jurisdiction, for example the court where you live.
These terms exist in Dutch and in English. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
If part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. The invalid part is then replaced by a rule that comes as close to it as possible.
