What are ceramic braces?<\/h1>\n

Clear braces or ceramic braces are similar to metal braces, but they use tooth-colored or clear brackets instead of metallic or grey brackets and wires. Ceramic braces are often preferred over traditional metal braces because they are less noticeable on the teeth. This is a huge advantage if you are considering braces, however, don\u2019t want to feel insecure about having braces.<\/p>\n

\nPros of ceramic braces<\/h2>\n

Compared to traditional braces, ceramic braces are less visible. Similarly, the material used in these braces is either tooth-colored or clear.<\/p>\n

\nAre you a good candidate for ceramic braces?<\/h3>\n

Ceramic braces are recommended if all the teeth have come in and your jaw has stopped growing. This is to ensure quick correction and a lower chance of the brackets breaking because of strain of tooth movement. In addition, the braces are a suitable choice if you want the braces to be subtle. The braces are either white or tooth colored, therefore, they are less noticeable. This makes clear braces an ideal choice for your teeth if you don\u2019t want to draw attention to them.<\/p>\n

Ceramic braces vs Invisalign braces<\/h2>\n

Ceramic brackets, like conventional metals and Invisalign brackets, are designed to help you straighten your teeth.
\nAlthough the different types of braces are effective in straightening crooked teeth, there are differences in how much they cost, how they look and how they work.
\nShifting the teeth with braces is one of the most effective ways when the jaw is still developing, which is why as a child you will be referred by your dentist to an orthodontic<\/a> specialist. However, this does not mean that you cannot wear braces later in life. There are many adults who undergo orthodontic treatment much later in life, with great results. The big difference between a ceramic brace or a transparent Invisalign braces is that adults, despite the advantage of the ceramic brace, are less visible than a metal brace, choose a transparent Invisalign brace with the reason:
\n– That these are really not visible for people in your environment.
\n– You don’t have to visit your practitioner monthly to tighten the wires.
\n– You are in control of how your treatment goes.
\nWith a transparent brace, also called aligners, more than 99% of the cases can be treated nowadays.<\/p>\n
